Grundton

Somewhere in the uninhabited expanses of the Dithmarsch-
Koog landscape, a fundamental tone unfolds, creating an acoustic architecture along the banks of the North Sea. Constantly bellowed organ pipes are installed in the base of
the Steertlochsiel.

The sound is reminiscent of a constantly held church-organ chord. The wind carries the sound into the open space, where
it "colours" the surrounding landscape with rich harmonics.
